Enhance your space and enhance your life with fresh windows and doors.

We work with homeowners and builders to supply and install replacement joinery, all of which is manufactured at our Cambridge, Waikato premises. Our clients replace joinery for a raft of reasons, from improving the warmth and feel of your home, to updating the aesthetics or function of a space, to maintaining investment stock.

We work with homeowners and builders to supply and install replacement joinery, all of which is manufactured at our Cambridge, Waikato premises.

We offer three service options: retro glazing, insert windows or full replacement. The type of replacement depends on your project’s requirements. As with every project, no matter how big or small, we pride ourselves on providing superior service, and happily consult on which replacement option will give you the best, most cost-efficient results.

Retro glazing

This involves removing single glazing and inserting double glazing. It’s a cost-effective option that will help keep heat in or out of your home and reduce noise, just note it’s only possible with suitable existing aluminium windows.

insert windows

This option applies to existing timber windows. We leave the timber framing and replace the internal members with aluminium. This allows you to maintain the timber aesthetics, and gives you the smooth operation of new aluminium joinery, without changes to the external cladding system.

full replacement

A full replacement involves completely removing old windows or doors and replacing them with new aluminium joinery. This option gives you ultimate flexibility in configuration and a fresh look and feel for your home.

Our Process

Our tried-and-true process has been refined over the past 50 years. Today, our replacement process typically looks like this.

01

Establish Scope / Brief

We typically begin by requesting photos and basic measurements of the existing arrangement. If it’s a large project or if photos and measurements aren’t possible for any reason, we’ll arrange a site visit.

02

Quote

Next, we will provide an estimate based on the photos and measurements provided, or a quote based on the site visit.

03

Onsite consultation

We then complete a final measure to ensure all parties are satisfied with the specifications, and provide a revised quote if required.

04

Manufacture

When the finalised quote has been accepted, we start on the manufacturing process at our premises in Cambridge, Waikato.

05

Delivery and installation

The joinery is then carefully delivered to site, where our team removes existing joinery and installs the new windows and/ or doors. We will also fit any new flashings or timber trim/ architraves as required. Please note that any painting or finishing tasks are excluded from DuCo’s scope of work

Kind words

“The DuCo team fitting the doors was fantastic. They just kept at it all day. They were totally respectful and communicated well. We are absolutely thrilled with the doors and so pleased we came to you. I will sing DuCo’s praise any time – just brilliant.

Replacement Client

“I wanted to pass on our thanks to the entire crew at DuCo. From start to finish our fitout has been near faultless. A sales rep was on site the same day of our call. Exceptional communication from start to finish by all office staff and trades.”

Replacement Client

“DuCo’s installers went above and beyond to make our joinery match, with some tough issues caused by some average work done by previous owners. Great to see a company with such a good team treating their customer service and quality as a top priority. We really appreciate the work done.”

FAQs

Your questions, answered.

Can you do supply and install?

Yes, we do include an installation service. This typically involves removing the existing joinery, installing the new joinery and fitting any new flashings or timber trims/architraves if required. Please note that any painting or other finishing tasks are excluded from DuCo’s scope of work.

Can I change the size of the existing joinery?

Any changes to the structure of a house will require a building consent, so this generally means you can’t change the width of the windows. In some cases, depending on the cladding of your home, you can change the height of windows without a building consent.

Can I change colour without replacing the windows?

Yes, this is possible. We don’t recommend painting aluminium, but we can suggest professionals who can re-spray the surface, just note this can be costly.

Do I have to get building consent?

No, as long as the structure of the house remains the same, windows can be replaced without the need for a building consent.
